Changing a flat tire should be the next thing that you should learn after learning how to drive. If you are in the middle of a highway driving alone and one of your tires suddenly becomes deflated, you cannot stay there until somebody volunteers to change your tire for you. You need to have the basic knowledge of changing a flat tire.
There are 3 things that you need to change your flat tire—a spare tire, a jack and tire iron. You can find your spare tire under the mat in your car’s trunk. The jack is the red small and heavy metal that is used to lift your car. The Tire iron is the L-shape iron used to unscrew the lugs in the tires. The lugs lock your tires so they don’t fall off why they are rolling and the car is moving.

First, take out the lugs in your flat tires. They may be difficult to screw and you need a lot of force to unscrew them. Don’t put them out yet, just unscrew them so that you can take them out with your hands later. Before taking them out, put the jack under your car near the side of the flat tire and lift that side of the car by using the jack. Let the jack lift your car one or two inches.
Next, remove the lugs and then remove the flat tires. Place the spare tire and then put the lugs again. Make sure that you put a lot of pressure to make sure that the lugs are lightly screwed.
And you’re done! You don’t need to practice it. The steps are very easy. But you need to have at least a theoretical knowledge of how to do just to be ready.
